If someone threatened me by saying, hypothetically, "I don't give spit about what you believe. You keep spreading your nasty lies about me and you will have a real problem on your hands!!!!!!!!", I would feel it to be a threat and would want it made public immediately, not kept between Jeff and me, and of course if i made a claim that someone had threatened me by PM who hadn't done so, that claim could be reported to SI Jeff, that is what he is for, I feel, don't you? I don't mean to be casting aspersions on you by disagreeing with you about how confidential one should keep threats to one out of respect for the threatener or because someone ELSE altogether might some day make a false claim of having been threatened by someone else, a someone who might not feel SI Jeff was sufficient recourse! It is not casting aspersions to say that we simply disagree about keeping threats to one private and that your idea makes me giggle, it is simply a fact about my sense of humor, giggling is not an aspersion it is laughing with repeated short catches of the breath.
