Shore Gold Inc. - Filing Of Prospectus Amendment

SASKATOON, SK, April 11 /CNW/ - Kenneth E. MacNeill, Chairman and C.E.O.
of Shore Gold Inc. (the "Corporation"), is pleased to announce on behalf of
the Board of Directors that the Corporation has filed an amendment (the
"Amendment) to its final prospectus dated November 27, 2001 (the "Prospectus")
with the securities commissions in each of the Provinces of British Columbia,
Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario and that a decision document
evidencing the final receipt of such commissions was issued on April 10, 2002.
The Amendment primarily provides for: (i) the incorporation of the
Corporation's December 31, 2001 financial statements; (ii) a change in the
price per Series A Unit to $0.85, the price per Series B Unit to $1.00 and the
exercise price attaching to each full Warrant offered thereunder to $1.00; and
(iii) the amendment of the flow-through provisions of the Series B Units in
order to allow for flow-through benefits to relate to the 2002 taxation year.
