<<Don, thanks for the tables! In your absence we decided you should start a web site. :)>>

You know - a guy can't even leave town for a few days before others get some funny ideas.<gg>

Seriously though, I am certainly satisfied with posting my tables on this site. RtS, you and others fill in a lot of good "stuff" as well. I think this site has done well because the posters try to focus on presenting stock information or analysis that is useful to readers. Even though posters may have differing opinions, the ability to interact with each other in a respectful manner has been of great relief to me. I very much hope that this type of interaction will continue in the future. As long as posters continue to present something of interest in the financial arena, and do it in a respectful manner to one another, this site should thrive, and I might add, become more valuable as a resource site as time goes on. A lot of good information is being logged onto this site on a daily basis that can be recalled as needed for reference.

<<Look who underperformed AMAT for a decade>>

And not just by a little either!! The scale is a little hard to read, but I would say the out performance was on the order of several thousand percent.

Lets see - as I read it, in 1987 you could have bought AMAT for 0.25 cents per share. A 10K investment then (40,000 shares) would be worth 2.17 million today at Friday's closing prices. I could live on that very nicely!<gg> Go AMAT!<gg>
