I remember the bear droppings, (in the spring),which makes you VERY aware of your surroundings. Looking out for bears, (who are hungry at the time)... you do NOT want to encounter one of these creatures, still the experience makes you feel intently alive. From the distance I saw Moose feeding in ankle deep mountain lake water... even bears (even from the safety of the distance takes a different perspective)... I could see McDonalds peak and the valley bellow, you are duly warned not to venture in the valley as it is full of the beasts... so I just wondered on the steep hillside trying to get a better view of the majestic mountains and a closer look of the valley to see if I could spot the bears... without luck. Then there are the even more majestic mountains of Glacier National Park... (The same Rockys that in Alberta they present you with an even more impressive view, if one can imagine it) leading to Banf and lake Louise.... the walk to the glacier is invigorating as the weather always carries a refreshing cool breeze even in the middle of summer... There is a road... "The road to the sun" (back in Glacier which if lucky, it gets open by June) as before it is impossible... In November you can see the eagles feeding in salmon... in my case, I have not been there... YET. Many incredible sites to visit and be impressed by mother nature... displaying incredible views with a light show every evening at sunset, most impressive, these sunsets with a light show not the best pirotechnician can match... Fly fishing in high mountain lakes is yet another experience.... after 5 hours in horse back (and a few others in dirt roads getting to where you mount your horse) is a sight of beauty (an an equally exhilarating feeling to catch a few rainbows (the trout, not the pot of gold)... as the fly is approaching the water, as the fish jumps out of the water grabs the fly and gets hooked.... Fishing until 11:00 pm (there is stil light in the summer)... one after the other... (yes, catch and release), after getting a healthy share of 3 to 5 to fry in the pan for dinner... is a great experience. Then, watching the stars in a night so dark ... they shine like small lanterns so brilliant with an intense contrast agaisnt the deep darkness of the mountain sky... ... and many other wonders...
