Notebook shipment estimates:

This article is interesting because quarterly notebook sales of 7.5 million this year and 8 million next year can be induced from the estimates of Taiwan market share.

Compiled from outside sources; Willie Teng, DigiTimes.com [Friday 29 March 2002]

The Market Intelligence Center (MIC) predicts that Taiwan’s notebook shipments in 2002 will reach 17 million units, for a 58-59% share of the global market, up about three percentage points from 2001, according to the United Daily News Chinese-language newspaper.

The MIC further estimated that in 2003, Taiwan would take a 63% share of worldwide shipments by shipping 20.33 million notebooks.
