Hi, tc. An odd keyboard problem has developed suddenly.

When I hit the space bar between words, it works only if I make sure my thumb strikes it in the center, or to the left of the center. The normal place to strike seems to be over to the right side of the bar (where one's right thumb is), though. The bar doesn't depress if I strike it there.

I've blown canned air under it and also sort of shaken the keyboard around to see if something is lodged under there, but I don't think it's that because when I hit the bar in the center, or left, the whole bar including the right side depresses.

Has anyone run into this problem?

I found out what the problem is. (Surprisingly, Gateway tech support was there today.) There is a small clip underneath the space bar and sometimes that breaks. They're shipping me another keyboard tomorrow. I'm glad I bought that extended warranty for $99.

The tech person first had me switch the portals for the keyboard and mouse just to be sure it wasn't a problem with the portal.
