the mistake many make is relating to this or that "great leader" the issue at present is that no one of the arab states want to have even ONE ARAB calling himself Palestinian as it's citizen. Just read the small print of the last arab sumit Many forget that the Arabs families calling themselves "Palestinians" are actually outcast families who were driven out of their own arab and muslim communities not only from the ME but also from the Caspian Basin (like Chechnia, Cherkesia etc.) or the Balkans ( like Bosnia were the Jerusalem Mufti established the Muslim Waffen SS) There is problem number 1 Problem number 2 - The insistence of the right of return will destroy not only Israel but the whole area as there are no basic means to sustain such population of over 10 million in an arid land. The first problem to face for survival will be simple needs such as water which is not sufficient even for today population. Problem number 3 is the explosive arab fertility rate in Gaza and West Bank (Birth rate: 42.48 births/1,000 population (2001 est.) ) around 4. 5 to 5 times that of Western Europe ( Germany - Birth rate: 9.16 births/1,000 population (2001 est.) ) Source CIA World Factbook (Soudia Arabia trippled it's population in the last generation) ...... and the list goes one on social / economic issues which triggered in the past many wars the world over not only in the ME
