they aren't meant to go together. But they are intertwined most of the time anyway. As a believer do you believe God created the universe as described in Genesis? God created life as is said in Genesis? If either answer is yes, you're into the swamp. And there are many Christians who insist on the literal accuracy of the Bible. For them, the question of whether Exodus occurred as described is quite relevant. And how often have you heard nonbelievers express offense at that? Regularly. Interesting. I've yet to find one. Being a small minority, we have more interest in protecting those First Amendment guarantees than believers do. And we also realize that, being a small minority, newspaper articles catering to the majority are going to be much more common than those favoring us.
