Right on G. And of the sites out there StockPickReport.Com appears particularly sleazy.
If you go to link to 'explain' ratings it brings you to a pop up for free trial. And then there is the gem cited right on top of ad that is reminiscent of 'Jimmy The Greek' types screaming on TV to buy their 900 numbers for college football picks that CAN'T LOSE. Puuulease.

One member emailed us TODAY and said, "In the past 2-1/2 weeks I've made 40%+ on your picks !!!!! Thank you ! Thank you !"

No, thank you for the lol. A tertiary 'Thank you' would have made that so much more believable. <g>

I looked at the referenced stock chart for AMAT/SOX. Thanks for "setting it up" since then I could easily substitute other stocks for AMAT and get another ratio.<g>

While it is true that the AMAT/SOX ratio is approaching its previous high, it tends to show how AMAT is becoming a more "influential" member of the SOX as the years go by. Checking the ratio of KLAC and NVLS to the SOX shows the same type of rising influence over the past years/months. Only TER of the semi-equips has not shown a rising influence in the SOX index over the past few years.

By contrast, several other members of the SOX have lost influence over the years. One example is MU, which in 1995 comprised 15 percent of the index and is now hovering around the 5 to 6 percent mark. Another example is LSI which was around 10 percent of the index in 1995, but is now down around 3 percent.

It is rather interesting to speculate on how much longer this trend might continue. If I knew the answer, I might be able to make some money on the trend.<gg>

"OT" Totally off topic.

Just saw a new Dell Computer commercial. "Whip It".

It was great, the background song is Whip It, Whip It Good.

Good luck Dell, and good commercial.
