I wonder if science kind of selects for atheists and agnostics? I remember when Mr. X was in geology there was a very religious gentleman in class with him. The man found the earth history class so upsetting, he dropped out of geology and changed to another major.

I suppose it it a combination of selecting for people who are not threatened by challenges to their faith, as well as creating people who see the world as a mystery that can be studied, with theories, that leave room for radical change at a moment's notice.

[Only] one out of 15 scientists ...believe in a PERSONAL God!

Maybe they were confused by the term "Personal God." I never heard of that myself. It sounds kind of like a Supernatural Concierge, Who would attend to one's spiritual needs with special personal attention. As far as I am aware, I don't believe in a Personal God, either.

I just believe in Regular God.
