There really isn't any local population where the fields are. And the people that are there are concentrated near the coast. We would have no problem taking and holding those fields indefinitely. I'm not saying it'll ever happen but it's an option we have to consider. All the Arab armies have no heart. They won't fight hard. What would they fight for? Keeping their rich Royals rich? They are not like our men and women in uniform. We saw it in Desert Storm. They were ferocious then. Can you imagine how pissed off they are now after 9/11?
