Re: What do you think the effect would be of an announcement that the .13s are shipping? Think it'd be enough to get Intel to cut it's P4 mobile prices in half?

Isn't that what Intel just did?

If there was ever a cause for despair, a visit to Compaq's commercial EVO line is the best example. Most of the PCs are P4 with PC-133 SDRAM and the ones that are not are Celerons with PC-133 SDRAM.

These OEMs will eat whatever crap Intel serves them. What can AMD do? Whatever AMD does, they will continue to buy Intel product, no matter if they are good, average or crap.

At these prices I think that news is pretty much discounted. It'd be negative, but I doubt we'd see $12.00. The more important thing is the 2Q forward look.

Who would believe them?

TGRTPRTNDR,

Re: "It'd be negative, but I doubt we'd see $12.00. The more important thing

I think it would be back to "single digits" (tm StockMan). Also, the
outlook for Q2 would be "craps" too. Better hope for some "real good"
"smoke and mirrors" for answers to the questions about .13um at AMD.

Make It So,
