Better to let the Europeans deal with that. Like they dealt with Yugoslavia? That was right in their backyard. If inertia were gold, they could have bought the solar system. I'll believe that wen I see it. All talk and no action. I've thought for years that the UN should hire a few regiments of Gurkhas and keep them on the payroll for this sort of thing. Good idea! I hope you're right about the US not getting involved. And it would be nice to avoid another Arab-Israeli Wat. The Arabs would take it kindly if we have to resupply Israel again.
