Electus you posted a long peice about the hatred of Israel by the Palenstinians and what you said is true - but in the end there has to be accomodation and peace and as one commentator pointed out Israel will be the one which has to concede the most, because this is a nation forced on the region. We are faced by a convergance of poor leaders - in America, Britain, Israel and one could argue Palestine - but Arafat has no power - Sharon knows that, Bush knows that and yet they act as if Arafat can somehow control suicide bombers and terrorists. The most unebelievable and pathetic headline I've seen was yesterday's to the effect 'Bush tells Arafat to control the terrorists' This is Arafat who was under seige in his own compound!!. It boggles the mind that our fate is in the hands of such a ninkenpoop.
