"But today I frequently hear Jewish acquaintances discuss Arabs in general, and Palestinians in particular, in terms as racist as those once used by southerners in public when discussing blacks…"

What do you and he expect? The Arabs and Palestinians are among the most anti-Semitic of the world. They have been attacking Jews for decades.

After decades of unrelenting hatred against Jews, would you expect Jews to become fond of these haters?

And then the author jumps, with glee, at the opportunity to equate Jewish reaction to Arab persecution, to Southern persecutors of blacks. How very stupid and naive. The blacks were persecuted by southern racists, and Jews have been persecuted by the Arabs for decades. The author, and you, twist circumstances to fit your "real truth".

Once again, if the truth doesn't fit, twist things around to make real racism look good.
