Ok, I've seen you present this argument several times now. I believe there is a fundamental flaw in your reasoning: Considering the global economic outlook at the time, it's not unreasonable to assume that AMD limited wafer starts to what they expected to be able to sell, without predicting that Intel would suddenly be unable to satisfy demand. By the time AMD realized the shortage, it would take them ~10 weeks to get an increase in volume through the pipeline.

A fundamental flaw in my reasoning? AMD said they were demand limited. Now you're claiming that it wasn't a limit in demand at all but poor planning instead?
