Murrey, I think you focus on US market too much
China is world's biggest silver consumer
100% usage in photography

digital imaging is moving forward in the US and West
but it is nonexistent in China, India, etc
you overlook 2500 million people

digital imaging is real
but its claimed detrimental effect on photography silver consumption has been wrong for several years
despite digital imaging, photo silver consumption has risen 4-5% annually since 1990
why is that so hard for you to understand?

Kodak has announced some replacement to silver halide film
but it is experimental, and probably sucks in quality
check their consumption numbers

the Silver Institute is the foremost independent agency on silver
they expect digital imaging to have an effect on photo sector
but not until 2005-06

you cannot rely on your own info on this issue
read what Kodak's consumption trend is
read what the Ag Institute says
read what China-India are doing
the rest of the world is discovering simple photos

in two years you will likely be saying the same crapp
by then a silver explosion will have occurred
it will catch you totally offguard

your claim has absolutely zero substance behind it
eventually you will be right
but I dont think so for another 3 years at least
and I doubt even then

the same argument can be put forth with fuelcell cars replacing gasoline engines
thus cutting into the crude oil sales

Actually Murray, the use of silver in photography has continued to grow at a healthy pace, surprising but true.
I read some stats on it a while back.
