I think about it constantly. Pondering how the universe works gives you both a strategic and tactical advantage over those who don't. Even going ahead with a theory (one that is open to revision based upon new information, context and circumstance) is better than having a rigid plan plan based upon fixed and static theories. This is a paraphrase of Sun Tsu's Art of War.

Depends what you mean by "believe"
I "believe" it in the same way I "believe" the theory of evolution
I accept it as a theory
but it doesn't have to be right
and if it changed tomorrow, because new data came to light, I would be fine with that
and in fact, I am looking for that new data all the time
I do not think the same can be said of the religious
they are not looking for data to disprove their model
that is the major difference, imo
I understand it would be emotionally satisfying for you to think that scientists "believe" in the same was as the religious, but I don't think that is true. It certainly isn't true in my case.

Well that is sort of like throwing out the question to a top scientist and asking him what came first, the chicken or the egg. In nearly every situation the one who doesn't believe in God walks away with egg all over his face.

Not believe in a creator? hmmmmmm.......ridiculous!!!!!
