Pierre drinks a stronger brew.

He never was Ambsssador. He was Presidential press secretary to Jack Kennedy, later served an interim term at senator from California.

Moved to France (his wife is French), served as occasional ABC corresobndent but was so awful he was let go.

Bloated and ignored, one of his French barroom friends told him that the truth of the crash of TWA800 was on the internet, that, as I remember, the plane was shot down by a US (Navy?) missile.

Pressed, Pierre finally came clean. He got it, he said meekly, from cyberspace. And to there Pierre returned.

It's really not Pierre's fault. He got his journalism training at the old San Frandcisco Chronicle, one of the funniest dailies then published in the US.
