The discussion of a "Personal God" seems to have become a needless detour

I'm sorry if I gummed up the flow of the discussion. I really haven't been following it. The "personal God" distinction is important to me since belief in a vague, cosmic-force, creator sort of deity is understandable to me as opposed to a specific, folkloric, big-daddy sort of deity, which isn't. But I can understand where others might slice things differently.
