Albert,

AMD estimated that they would make profit in Q2 2002. If ASPs stayed where they are, it is a possibility, but with the lack of higher speed parts, the desktop prices are going to implode. Andreas says that it is already happening, based on his analysis.

Albert,

June is also the time when new via chipset is going to be out

The nVidia and ATI integrated chipsets that are coming out this summer are very positive; especially since the ATI chipset can be used in laptops. Still, it won't save Q2 for AMD.

Pravin.

Albert,

Re: " ... is upto amd since amd can always change model number formulas."

"Brilliant", Albert ... Another "technical achievement" by AMD. They
change the "Model-Hurtz" inscription. Maybe you should suggest using some
type of "ink" that easily wears or changes with time. That way, AMD
can basically use the AA method of "shredding" info when pressed by DOJ. <ggg>

Make It So,
