RtS, thx - yes the nice thing about those secod and third tier stocks is you can look for their alpha cousins as peer models as the laggards are playing catch-up.. Hopefully my CLTK will be affected by the same forces.. On ANAD, I now view this stock as way broader. I read some white paper of one of their scientists on optical monolithic integration strategies with Silicon, InP etc.. This is an overlooked angle into ANAD. If "fully developed" they have capabilities into micro-optics as BKHM does.. Optics #2 .. Bought AXYS today (Axsys Technologies). Same sector as ZIGO, ADTK, NEWP but a a laggard. Part of their demand is defense related (precision ball bearing) other part is semiconductor related (precision positioning). Apart from that they are offering photonic alignment machines. Product development tie up with Loctite on fiberoptic attachment announced.. Quarterly loss trimmed in most adverse time to 5 cent per share per quarter. Below book (at 70%) and should benefit from defense spending and SDI research... BTW .. The best gain recently however I had in a nanotech related firm (no peers there) - formerly called HHGP now their ticker changed to "TINY". Public venture fund, owns a stake in Nantero - NRAM (Nanotech-Memory). This is a real speculative area and not many stocks out there have a nanotech appeal (maybe NANX, CRDN, ALTI - where ALTI is lacking revenues - development stage type). All pretty speculative and a bet on the future to be sure.. rgrds CROSSY
