It's difficult to say really - I mean in terms of a horse race. ABX has been an industry leader for so long in its approach, not only with it's hedging but in mine development and mining techniques. I don't follow its labour relations any more, but there was a time when it was the leader in that field too. But now it is so big that it has to contend with the United Steelworkers etc. But there was a time when it was non-union with innovative productivity bonuses, medical care for workers, grants for post secondary education, etc. My hunch is that it is still the leader in mine productivity. All of these intangibles make for a great company.

In it's position of leadership Barrick has attracted more than its share of envy and jealousy. And at least one individual painted with this brush is attracted to this Board and it's painful to see him struggling with the most rudimentary understanding of financial statements in his determination to dig up some sort of problem for Barrick.
