When I was kid, we lived near a cement factory which had its own trucks. These suckers BIG tires. And BIG inner tubes. We'd take the tires and pile them on top of each other to make forts. Five, six feet high. We'd break a large Y-shaped branch of a tree. Cut a large strip of rubber out of the inner tubes and tie the ends to the tips of the Y. Voila. BIG SLINGSHOT. Then get large rocks, several pounds each, get in the forts, and shoot at each other. Amazingly, no one was ever (seriously) injured.
