I drove on the frozen Atlantic in a VW bug, drunk, at night while in college.
And I was stupid?

YOUNG LADY! DO YOU WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU?!

thames and I had a chemistry discussion on Nudist Arena a while back. One of the standard experiments is to fill a flask with hydrogen gas, be careful to drive out ALL the air, then light the mouth. You get a pretty pale blue flame.

Unless you haven't driven out all the air. Then you get an explosion. Which is what happened. Fortunately, one side of the flask was weaker than the other. And was facing away from me. Pure luck. Otherwise I would have had a chest and face full of glass.
