To all on thread:

biz.yahoo.com

I wonder if as this link suggests - The Micron/Hynix deal is close to being a done deal.

Daymarc made an exclusive testhandler for Micron - "The Enterprise machine". It eliminates the need for a protective surrounding bumper on all four sides of the chip ( it protects the metal prongs protuding out the four sides from becoming bent or damaged).

Instead of being stacked and shipped in containers they are shipped in trays. These trays are part of the "boat" which is used to move the chips around inside the testhandler(it also prevents the tangs from contacting and damaging eachother).

Since this brilliant cost saving concept is a manufacturing process change - no one ever purchased the enterprise except Micron - they built their manufacturing line to accomoodate it.

I wonder if the savings are great enough to justify Micron to order Daymarc to make some more and retofit the Hynex line???

Just a thought that could add some backlog???
