Dan3, The people at the magazine are not as keen as we are and so it slips beneath their radar. Probably they were also made to sign some lower level ND, since Alienware had to sign it with AMD and would want it downstream as well. AMD knows about ad deadlines, so they would already have prepared a downstream ND agreement, so will Intel, for their releases. just a reflection of the realities. Often magazine ND agreements make premature leaks = free ad, or some other penalty, like loss of trust? so they have a vested interest at CGW to keep mouth shut. many people at CGW are not interested anyway, they are involved in other aspects of production, invoices etc. Bill

Dan, Re: How does AMD do it? We've known about the P4 2.4 for a month. Kind of reminds me of a post I put out to Elmer back on February 7. While I'm of the impression they could release(a 2200+) now, it wouldn't change their overall pricing mix, IMO. The model numbers along side of the $ values would change but the $ values would remain about the same. The only way we're going to see is by judging from AMDs reaction if Intel puts out a 2400 this Q. Message 17030157 But is it real? tgptndr
