Listen, J.F. This discussion started with the subject of whether Oprah was right to turn down a chance to help the oppressed women of Afghan. I said other American females would be more inspiring to them.

Yes, I know about the National Geographic photo story. I'm sure at her age, she will not be among those returning to school classes, unfortunately. More likely she could take advantage of the home-sewn school uniform project, although, I understand National Geo has arranged to financially support her & her children.

I mentioned the Olympic track stars because, evidently, with the Oprah invitation they were looking for a woman who managed to achieve success even though hobbled by poverty in the early yrs.
