Mr. FuzzFace,...

Watch what happens if POG starts to climb,..suddenly Barrick reserves start to increase in tandem.

Homestake bought Argentina gold from Barrick,...a few years later, Barrick buys Homestake. What do they buy next,...look out Newmount (gggggggggggggggggggggg)

Unhedged vs hedge gains are related to time. Pick a different time scale, and you get a different result. Compare Barrick to any gold producer over the last 20 years,...and you may get a surprise.

It's the turtle vs the hare,...who wins in the end?

Something to think about,...Denver-based Newmont's recent acquisition of the Canadian royalty company and Australia's Normandy Mining Ltd created the world's biggest gold miner with production of 8.2 million ounces in 2001 and 97 million ounces in reserves.

Barrick has gold mineral reserves of 82.3 million ounces.

Not much of a reserve difference!

I agree with you assessment entirely. I own slightly different make up of unhedged majors and juniors but to the same end. The question is what will be the catalyst for the hedgers to start to cover?
