"Glenn, if chose to speculate would you buy gold futures or Platinum? futures.tradingcharts.com " I would chose gold. I can't say I have great reasoning for that. I suspect a lot of it has to do with my understanding the market better. Gold has very little industrial use so it is not affected as much by world economic slowdowns. Platinum has a very large industrial use but is a very minor player in the jewelry industry. It does seem that when there is uncertainty, people gravitate to buying gold over platinum. I do realize this is very lame reasoning.
