The Crusades were 1000 years ago. To say that what the muslims are doing today all over the world is no different than what the Christians did during the Crusades is a ridiculous attempt at rationalization.

You mean to tell me that what happened 500 generations ago during the Crusades is an excuse for what is happening now? That it has any relevance to today? Maybe to a lunatic it does, but not to anyone else. The people that were involved are so dead and buried, there's not even enough dust in their graves to recognize that they were people anymore.

Islam is an inherently violent religion, the people that they are killing all over the world would probably agree with my assessment of islam more than they would agree with your assessment of islam.

Jews don't agree with the idea that Jesus is the son of God. That's no different than muslims as per your statement.

You can keep believing that what's happening today is similar to what happened with Christianity, and that the muslims are going to change. You can also keep putting your teeth under your pillow and expect to get money from the tooth fairy. They haven't changed in 1200 years one iota, and there's no reason to believe they'll change in the next 1200 years. Where were they when the rest of the world changed? They could have changed along with it, but they didn't.

From the article:

Now put this down in your notebook, because it will be on the test: The crusades were in every way a defensive war. They were the West's belated response to the Muslim conquest of fully two-thirds of the Christian world.
