Interestingly, I agree with you on every one of your movie thoughts. Every one! I'd add, though, that the music to "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" was wonderful. PBS had a show which showcased all the musical artists, simply having them perform a concert of the songs they played in the movie. I liked it much more than the movie.

Neocon, I thought I'd understood Memento at the end. But then, talking to others, learned that I'd missed something that indicated I didn't understand what happened at all. This is a link to my rather great effort to figure the damn thing out. Did you see it recently enough to be able to remember what exactly was learned, in the last scene, when he was lying in bed with his wife, that 'explained' everything?

I've talked to a number of people who loved the movie, but when I try to get to the bottom of it, it seems they didn't 'get' it either, in the plot-sense.
