Honestly 3rd, did you think Halle's "surprise" speech was sincere and heartfelt? Did you see it? Do you really think that her winning the Oscars helped black people? If so, why is liberal Hollywood so prejudiced anyway? Why would the dumb old jocks playing sports be so far ahead of the elite Hollywood liberals when it comes to human rights, particularly regarding outright prejudice, as Halle implicitly implied?

Honestly 3rd. I would like to know your opinions on these questions. Hard for me to believe the Democratic party would embrace the racists that Halle describes.

Extremists are the ones most confused about the difference between fact and opinion. You are male and/or you didn't watch the Academy Awards. It was obvious Halle's speech was "phony and manipulative". Her abusive black dad abandoned the family and is indifferent to her to this day. (SHE said so on B. Walters show) The white mom gave her the only stability of her life. So accepting the Oscar exclusively as and for blacks is "calculating" and a slap in the face to her mom.

As for Julia Roberts, her hanging onto Denzel like a second skin was "self-serving." Check this out; where are her black co-stars? juliafan.com
