Clinton reportedly has an arrangement with Hilary. They almost divorced 15 years ago but decided not to for political and parental reasons. They stayed together as a non-sexual couple. So you don't know he treated her like dirt. That's private stuff. Maybe she knew all along what he was doing and maybe she did some stuff herself. In any case she stayed with him despite knowing he was unfaithful. And she was not an unhappy woman.

What we do know is that when Starr and the right-wingers paying to dig up dirt couldn't find any crimes with Whitewater they started looking into his bedroom. There they finally found a smoking bimbo, long after Gennifer Flowers and the others. By then everyone knew Bill fooled around but didn't care because he was doing a great job giving us all the best economy of our lifetimes and even paying off the deficit. But the witch hunters grabbed onto the sexual evidence and wouldn't let go, even though our country really didn't want to know that crap. Plus a good portion of our leaders in both parties fooled around. The GOP speaker had to resign before he was outed. There was Henry Hyde and there were others. It was a sad wasteful time in US history. Clinton blew it? Maybe but the investigation itself should never have happened in the first place. And it kept our leaders from doing their jobs which is much more imporant.

Finally after all this time and 80 million in legal fees we get the verdict. Innocent. No charges. Whitewater a big hollow nothing as most of us guessed all along. Only one crime, that is trying to deny he was unfaithful. Should have admitted it? Maybe but most people in his position would have done the same. Imagine putting the President on the stand to testify about his sex life in the first place. So absurd and disrespectful. But it set a standard. From now on there can be no cover-ups. Ever. If Bush is caught masturbating he must testify. If he knocked up some gal in the 70's he must testify. So silly isn't it?

But now that the GOP has set the standard it is so wrong and hypocritical Bush-Cheney will not release their energy papers. We demand to know. That is a REALLY IMPORTANT issue affecting ouir pocket-books, natural resources and futures.

Clinton's sex life mattered to no one but those involved in the tacky witch hunt. It wasn't so much shame on Clinton as shame on this country and the witch-hunters themselves. It dragged our President, Congress, Senate and legal system down to tabloid levels. I was disgusted by the entire process.
