Exactly Dave. I really can't see what these guys get out of what they are doing here. They claim to be such free thinkers. Why don't they do some free thinking. Their sniping must be so tiresome even to them. I mean I can't spend all day over at the SUNW board getting my jollies by pointing out that while they have been fighting MSFT in court they have almost become an unmarginable stock. I guess they do it just because they can of course that is why my dog licks his privates.

I cannot believe that based onthe pure speculation of one analyst concering MSFT's performance over a year from now that the MSFT longs crap their pants and sell. Watching level 2 was amazing; the big bids came in and they kept dropping them and the little guys kept handing over the stock to the guys who shorted in the Am and institutions who were pulling their bids. Really the worst performance I have seen for MSFT because it really was based on the very forward opinion of one friggin' analyst. JFD

Again your logic fails:

Just because only 9 states are actively pursuing the case doesn't mean the other 41 disagree. The others might not have considered the question, or might have budgetary or other constraints keeping them from being active.

If by the "Federal Government" you mean the DOJ, I think it's fairly obvious that its change of position since Bush became President has been politically motivated (although one report suggested it was because they just didn't want to be bothered).

JMHO.
