John, I can't say for sure if a bottom is near, but there are points where you can anticipate where one might show up and then look for confirmation that the bottom is in.

When I look at a sector index, like the RLX, the Stochastic Indicator is showing that it is oversold. Then I look for companies within that sector that share the same characteristics. Then it's a matter of watching for their turn.

The RLX may wait for a few more companies to join them in the oversold range, but this is where you'd expect the sector to turn as traders rotate from overbought to oversold sectors. This is where it pays to monitor those who are oversold.
