"If you believe Berry was faking, then she was good enough to win the award--something that sticks in Coulter's craw"

Bullcrap 3rd. I never doubted that she was a good enough actor to win the award. And Coulter probably does not either. Insinuating Coulter is a racist is just as bad as Berry insinuating the Hollywood ultra liberal community is racist. It is offensive to see a nice moment in someone's career politicized with a false and patronizing message. If the academy is prejudiced, as Berry stated, then do an investigation or name some names.

"I should have asked whether Coulter would have considered Poitier a phony back then in the same way she savaged Berry for her behavior now"

I doubt it. Do you have any other evidence of Coulter's racism other than this article? If you are strictly using Berry's speech and Coulter's editorial to decide who is a racist then you are the racist. If I only had those two pieces of information, I would assume Berry to be the racist. But that would be unfair and prejudiced of me, and I doubt that either is a racist. Coulter spoke what she felt about the speech, and it coincided with my feelings almost to the t. And I know that I am not a racist.
