i installed popupstopper and hear the beeps but i feel this is treating the symptoms and not the problem

Kid - You are likely logged onto a site that shoots these ads to your computer every 2 minutes........or maybe something like "info-cursor" has planted a cookie on your computer which then requests these ads......... Download "Ad-Aware" and install it. It's a small program that searches out these "maggots" on your computer and gives you the option of "squashing" (deleting) them........or simply go into your cookie directory and delete anything that looks suspicious. fishweed EDIT........I would never buy anything advertised in a pop-up ad!
