I think they are worrying about sector-specific no 2nd half recoveries. The govt. nos. are nice to read as always.

I think your reading of the "general consensus" may be a bit overweighted by your battles with the ornerier bears... I still see lots of posters on lots of threads searching for and seeming to find signs of a rally in almost every uptick... certainly at the end of any up day... But whether it's inadequately contrarian or not, bulls can't be happy with such a rapid descent to the trendline from the Sept lows... they're getting a bit of bounce on the first test, so far... excuse my lack of exactitude, but I'm in the middle of a couple of trades... may be some interesting charts later tho, maybe at lunch (PST!) or post-bell
