I don't know that much about russian jews, I never cared. To me they were just another people that communism screwed over. israel has a policy that anyone in the world that is jewish can go to Israel and claim citizenship. They changed that for Myer Lansky because the US governemnt claimed he was Jewish Mafia and wanted him back. The Israelies went against their beliefs and sent him back. I would imagine that its difficult for any russian that spent years under communist rule to be able to fit in to any other society. Once you're brainwashed you're brainwashed, and other ways of life are difficult to accept. In a way you're brainwashed to the American way of life. Do you think you could fit in in another country easily? I don't. It takes a lot of effort to adapt. You have to reject all that you were taught for years.
