Yes it is sick, but didn't this country hang witches in the 1700's? Considering that many of these countries have been under imperial rule for centuries, one has to consider that it might take a little time before they and their traditions moderinze.

One can only marvel at the type of progress countries like India are making after years of being "Chumchas" to the white man and not being allowed to develop under the white man's system.
