Actually, Nehru used to look quite impressive when wearing the Nehru jacket. If your politicians are rotund, like your Advani, or crummy and senile, like your Vajpayee, they will look like fools no matter what they wear!

From the news :

"Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Wednesday... asserted that India stood ready to do whatever it can to bring peace to West Asia. "

Good idea. Since he is unable to bring peace to his own country, he is trying to bring peace at least to some other part of the world!

Is this Vajpayee guy senile, or is this his "normal" behavior?! ;-)

The moron speaketh:

"With what face, I do not know, I will go abroad after what all has happened here," Vajpayee said.

This, from a guy who has to ask the RSS/VHP folks whether he can go to the bathroom! Whatever face he had, he has already lost. In any case, India is so irrelevant in the context of today's global affairs that nobody abroad will notice whether he has a face or not! :-)

Mahajan in Nehru jacket
India: IT leader. Ecanaaaamy (economy) sailing along

Indian IT and Communications Minister Pramod Mahajan rang the opening bell at the stock market this morning. Yes, he was in his Nehru jacket with a visible paunch. What he said was more important: India produces 300,000 engineers, of which 100,000 are IT engineers. He needs lessons in pronunciation: ecanaaaamy. But the contents of his small speech was important and useful.
