skinny on MERQ,

solid quarter, maintain guidance. packaged testing has been carrying them, including psft environments so psft/sebl weakness carries merq with 'em... stock was still up YTD so took a haircut... no biggie...

Gossip on Merq is that in packaged apps testing their top 4 drivers are, in order: SAP, ORCL, SEBL, and PSFT. #2 and #4 are in flagrante delicto. # 1 is guilt by association and #3, well, you heard about #3. This is an industry-wide, broad brush spanking that was catalyzed by the Goldman response across its software coverage to the PSFT miss, as opposed to company-specific tarring, in my view.
