Let's take a look at what you are saying.
(1)Nasdaq is in a DOWN CHANNEL.
(2)Nasdaq is near bottom of Down Channel,
so go long.
(3) So you go against the major trend.
(4) Sounds good ?
(5) NO !
(6) Take a look at July-August-Sep 2001,
when the nasdaq fell out of the then existing
down channel.
(7) Hey ! It's your money ! It's your call !
(8) I'll stay with buying when all the trends turn UP.

Hope that helps ?
Larry Dudash
PS: And no ! The stop loss doesn't work because the
lower channel keeps moving up and down during the day.IMHO.
