Will hits on all cylinders, except at the end when asks the rhetorical question about the Israeli's tentative actions vis-a-vis Arafat.

We know that the US is behind the protection of Arafat's life. It seems logical, given Sec. Powell's statememts yesterday, that the US is keeping Arafat in the West Bank instead of allowing Israel to dump him on Morocco or some other nation.

It's probably not bad an idea to keep Arafat where he is. He is in essence incommunicado or being completely overheard in all his communications. He can't go glory-hogging to the masses in the Mid East given his present circumstances, and he is being humiliated by his inability to do anything about his present condition.

I'd keep him encircled for as long as I could. Don't know what the exit strategy for Sharon will be, but it better be a good one because Arafat is going to do his best to cover himself in glory and blood when he is ultimately released.
