The comparison goes like this. MSFT is Walmart. Linux is the corner store that hates Walmart and does the best they can to compete. SUNW is the 6 year old girl that sells Lemonade on the corner near her house and goes crying to mommy when nobody stops for a drink. MSFT is worried about SUNW like they are worried about the crying little girl. Now Linux, they are more of a concern since they are making inroads in the server market in contrast to SUNW that is losing market share. On the other hand, Linux is not an issue on the desktop.
