Ali,

It's been a while, Intel and AMD has pulled their errata lists off the net.

We all know the P3 was a joke with 69? and the Athlon had 2? I think.

I wonder how the errata sheet on the P4 and AMD XP compare now?

Steve

Hi Ali, It's been a while since I posted to you. Keep up the good work.

I'm certainly on your side when you post There should be no courtesy in dealing with that kind of guys, IMHO. In case you did not nioice, when cornered, these guys either quietly
drop the subject just to re-hash it few days later (as duty call I guess), or they take an "ignore" amendment, and continue their nonsense as nothing has happened.

And I'm for sure not impressed when I hear somebody say -- well -- I was lying but everybody should have known it -- Elmer.

And I'm for sure not impressed when I hear somebody say -- I was just jerking him along -- Wanna -- as a rational for a 2 hour posting spree.

I'm not ready to put Tony into the same basket with Elmer and Wanna, and for sure the latter two don't go any where near the basket I've got Paul in, but it doesn't mean I'm buying much they're selling, either. ( I think Tony's sincere. )

I'm also in sympathetic when PT when he says 'let it drop'. When the bullshit flows free -- ignore it.

The flip side is that there are people here who have *NO IDEA* just how much *BULLSHIT* is flowing.

And I think it needs to be called.

Ali, re: "Yes, you seem to feel as it more appropriate to endlessly continue to talk to paid Intel stooges even after they were proven wrong, yet they re-appear with same bogus accusations again and again, and you feel appropriate to politely discuss the same refuted garbage again and again. There should be no courtesy in dealing with that kind of guys, IMHO."

I felt Albert's post was not courteous and that courteous posting is the basic rule for posts on this thread. This does not mean that all the other abuses here are acceptable. Specifically, I do not feel that the endless exchanges on bogus accusations (either against Intel or AMD) are a good use of this or any thread. The critical review of posts is essential for this to be a constructive forum. However I try to be respectful in my posts and have at times invested significant time to dig up information to try and correct some of the misstatements. The petty bickering I try to ignore as there is no resolution. I understand the essential need to counter misinformation but wish it could be done in a less antagonistic fashion.

The quality of posting and exchanges on this thread is among the best that I have discovered. I was simply stating my opinion on one post that I feel reflected a degree of personal attack that was not acceptable and was counter to the thread's sense of community.

I am feeling inclined to take a spring break and that my time would be better invested elsewhere.
