802.11b compensation. I guess they are working on billing details. However, Boingo supplies laptop software that "sniffs out" areas looking for active 802.11b. If you are a Boingo subscriber and it sniffs out a Boingo affiliate, you simply log on. I know nothing of 802.11b roaning between VoiceStream and Boingo, but such an arrancement would be a logical extension of efforts to finance 802.11b installations. Some see it in every airport, bank etc. Others claim it has a security flaw. One thing is sure. Voice stream and other GPRS operators really need some help with broadband capacity in densely populated areas.
