Cooperation leads to more pleasant and longer lives.

I've always believed that social evolution works in a manner similar to that postulated for physical evolution. When people cooperate effectively, their society thrives. When they don't, the society crumbles.

I believe that morality is an evolutionary adaptation.

I thought of a possible solution to the middle east dilemma while driving kids to school the other day.

Obviously Palestinians and Israelis cannot peaceably accept each other as long as they live in any sort of proximity to each other. Expecting one group or the other to move out would be grossly unfair. So why not move them both out? The Palestinians can move to Berkley, where everybody loves them. The Israelis can go to New York, where their brethren are numerous, prosperous, and secure.

Then we give Palestine to the Kurds, and everybody is happy....
