It would have been highly unusual for Wallace to have fired/hired Secretary of State and Secretary of Treasury (a) in the middle of a presidential term; (b) in the middle of the Second World War. That doesn't sound plausible to me. Are these two men identified in the book?

Re: FDR's administration chose not to believe Hiss was a spy. If one stacked all the FDR-Pearl Harbor conspiracy books on top of each other, they'd probably reach 20 feet in height. We must remember that, in terms of information technology, 1941-45 was akin to the Dark Ages.
